With Crown Jewel in the history books, all eyes now turn to WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. The first-of-its-kind event is slated for Saturday, November 26, and will feature the inaugural WarGames matches for the main roster. They’d previously been a staple of NXT since 2017.
Owing to the fact it’ll mark the main roster’s first sighting of WarGames, the November 26 card is reportedly due to feature “craziness”. This comes via the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez, who tweeted to his Twitter Super Followers that WWE is planning to go all out for the event.
Reportedly, this is to ensure there is sufficient footage for future video packages of the WarGames match on the main roster. Currently, there is only footage from NXT bouts available to use, as well as clips from the original ‘Match Beyond’ in WCW.
Though not confirmed, this would indicate that WWE is planning to make the WarGames match a regular show. It has been promoted in NXT since November 2017, last airing on December 5, 2021, and featuring two WarGames match; Team Black and Gold vs. Team 2.0 and Team Mandy Rose vs. Team Raquel Gonzalez.
Who Will Enter The WarGames Matches?
From the announcement of Survivor Series featuring WarGames matches, fans have been chomping at the bit to find out who, exactly, will be entering the two-ring caged structure. At the time of the writing, only a portion of the women’s bout has been officially confirmed.
As was revealed on the November 7 Monday Night Raw, Nikki Cross will join the Damage CTRL trio of Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY to combat Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka. That leaves one spot open on the side of Cross and Damage CTRL, and two available spaces next to Belair, Bliss, and Asuka.
The men’s side is yet to see any confirmations made, though it’s heavily expected that The Bloodline will feature in some capacity. The forthcoming Friday Night SmackDown on November 11 may provide some clarification.
