Cora Jade, formerly known as Elayna Black, has shocked fans by stating that she was “leaving” on the August 1st episode of WWE NXT.
After suffering a loss in a Kendo Stick Match against Dana Brooke on the July 25th episode of NXT, the following week a video was shown post-match of Jade making her intentions clear by storming into the women’s locker room.
In a moment of raw emotion, she declared that she was leaving and even expressed her disappointment with the fans, stating that they didn’t care about her. Before storming out, Jade wished the women good luck without her.
Jade’s actions have left many wondering about her future in the industry. She has already deleted her Twitter account, leaving fans even more curious about her next move. Prior to deleting her account Cora Jade had made a cryptic post, where she simply wrote “Bye”.
On Instagram, she posted the peace emoji on her story and many fans have speculated about a possible transition to a new character or a call-up to the main roster.
When Did Cora Jade Debut In NXT?
Cora Jade made her debut in NXT in 2021, becoming one of the final wrestlers to enter during the black and gold era of NXT. Her arrival also marked the transition to the NXT 2.0 era.
Before her NXT debut Jade appeared in the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in 2021, losing the first round match on an episode of 205 Live.
Before her time in WWE, Jade showcased her talent in various promotions, including AEW, GCW and Freelance Wrestling, where she wrestled under the name Elayna Black.
