A WWE star thinks John Cena should be more like him.
A lot has happened in John Cena’s Farewell Tour so far, the main being that he turned heel for the first time in two decades during the 2025 Elimination Chamber. After beating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 for the Undisputed Championship, he went on to face familiar faces like Randy Orton and CM Punk. During that journey, he also teamed up with Logan Paul.
In June this year, The Cenation Leader teamed up with another fellow heel, Logan Paul, at Money in the Bank, where they were defeated by Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. Months after their partnership, The Maverick had some interesting choice of words to describe his thoughts regarding his former tag team partner.
WWE Star Logan Paul Says He Wishes John Cena Were Like Him
In the latest IMPAULSIVEpodcast, The Maverick and his guest, Ariel Helwani, talked about WWE SummerSlam 2025 and, later on, John Cena’s sudden babyface turn ahead of The Biggest Party of the Summer. While Helwani was a fan, Paul wasn’t. Logan recalled working with The Cenation Leader and shared that John Cena should copy him and be himself
I loved John Cena, you know, like we had a tag and I got to work with him a little bit and see what he was really like. And then I see him just like [What was he like?] I mean, bro, he’s John Cena, you know, like I wish, I wish he would just, I wish he would be more like me, and just be himself.”
Since turning into a babyface again, John and Cody Rhodes mended bridges and recently teamed up at WWE SmackDown, where they won against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul due to a disqualification. Cena and Paul are now set for a singles match at the upcoming Clash in Paris premium live event at the end of this month.
