Scarlett Bordeaux has revealed that a contentious match on Raw featuring Karrion Kross was substantially cut for time leading to an abrupt outcome.
Karrion Kross was still the undefeated NXT Champion when he made his televised Raw debut on the 19th of July. Kross was tasked with facing former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy in a bout that many believed would be the catalyst to building Kross’ main roster career.
However, in less than two minutes it was Hardy who picked up the victory leaving Kross and the crowd both in the arena and watching at home in shock.
More shock was to come for Karrion Kross and his fiancée Scarlett Bordeaux when they were both released from their WWE contracts as part of ongoing budget cuts on the 4th of November.
Speaking at a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing Scarlett Bordeaux shed some light on Kross’ controversial Raw debut and says the match was originally meant to last a lot longer:
“Originally, I can say this, the match was supposed to be ten minutes. The first match with him [Killer Kross] and Jeff [Hardy] and then they get out there and it’s, ‘You have 90 seconds.’ Time got cut. That happens all the time out there.”
Jeff Hardy has been at the centre of recent controversy himself. News emerged on the 9th of December that Hardy had been released from his WWE contract just days after he was sent home from a live event. Reports then emerged that Hardy had turned down WWE’s offer of going to rehab which led to his release.
