A former WWE star who left the company under infamous circumstances would be open to working with Vince McMahon if given the opportunity.
January 2024 saw Vince McMahon resign from WWE and parent company TKO following allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking from former employee Janel Grant. Although the lawsuit remains ongoing, it has been rumoured multiple times that McMahon is not done in the entertainment world and is looking to start his own company.
While some have questioned if anyone would want to work for McMahon given the allegations, former WWE star Matt Riddle would have no issues going back to his former boss.
Riddle, who was terminated from the promotion in September 2023 following an incident at an airport along with multiple prior warnings and incidents, recently spoke with Going Ringside about a number of topics. When the company shake-up was brought up, the former United States Champion referenced the possible new McMahon business:
“Well, you know what, any business – especially when it’s around entertainment – you’re going to eventually run into a shakeup, right? I like the shakeup, I think entertainment is a business for change – they got rid of Vince, but there also might be a new opening for Vince, from what I hear through the grapevine.”
When asked if he was interested in working with McMahon, Riddle stated that he was interested in working with anyone:
“I’m interested in anybody, bro! I’m an independent contractor, bro!”
Vince McMahon Makes Another Public Appearance
As the lawsuit continues, the former Chairman has been spotted at major sporting events over the past few months. After first being seen at the Super Bowl, Vince McMahon was later spotted courtside during an NBA game on St. Patrick’s Day.
