Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul Fight Not Happening, UFC Star Explains Why

Conor McGregor Has

Conor McGregor has stated that the fight between himself and WWE star Logan Paul is now off, placing the blame for the cancellation on the UFC.

In late 2024, Conor McGregor made the announcement that he was going to face Logan Paul in a boxing match in India. Set to be financed by the Ambani family, it was rumoured that each fighter would receive a $250 million payment for participating in the exhibition bout.

While the announcement caught the attention of the sports world and certainly had the potential to outdraw the 2024 high-profile bout between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, the UFC star is not set to step into the boxing ring anytime soon.

Conor McGregor Says Logan Paul Fight Is Off

Speaking with The Schmo ahead of BKFC KnuckleMania 5, McGregor was asked about his interactions with the Paul brothers over the past few weeks. Speaking about the fight, McGregor stated that while he is not sure what WWE’s view on the fight was, it was not something that the UFC had any interest in:

“It is what it is. The UFC just aren’t into it. I had the offer on the table in writing….Both athletes under the TKO banner, UFC WWE both rising up. You know the stock price of TKO Holding Group through the roof. New market in India opened up and booming. It was the business savvy and business sense to make the fight happen, or should I say the glorified spar happen, and in between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the Octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with. I’m not sure the WWE, what they interest in was. I just knew the UFC weren’t into it.”

Now a member of the Raw roster now that the Monday night show is on Netflix, Logan Paul will be making his return to the brand on the January 27th episode.

Recently, Logan Paul was recently spotted confronting the man who ended his United Sates Championship reign, LA Knight.
