Another WWE WrestleMania 41 match could be in jeopardy of being cancelled!
The road to this year’s WrestleMania has been bumpy to say the least. After months of anticipation, the long-awaited clash between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens was pulled from The Show of Shows earlier this month after Owens was diagnosed with a neck injury. Now, it appears another match could be in danger of following suit.
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio competed in a 6-man tag team match during last night’s edition of SmackDown where he teamed with Dragon Lee and Rey Fenix to take on American Made’s Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers.
Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed Mysterio disappear in the last few minutes of the match, leaving Fenix and Lee to complete the ending sequence by themselves. Unfortunately, it appears this was due to Mysterio suffering an injury.

Following the match, clips emerged on social media of Mysterio being checked on by WWE medical staff and later being helped to the back while hopping on one leg. Eventually, the WWE legend ends up being fully carried up the ramp to the backstage area.

Mysterio was set to face the mysterious El Grande Americano on The Grandest Stage of Them All tonight, though an injury less than 24 hours before could rule him out of the bout.
While there’s no updates on his status at the time of writing, it’s worth noting that WWE still advertised the match alongside the rest of the WrestleMania card at the end of SmackDown half an hour later.
