The Fiend Bray Wyatt

New concept art for a scrapped Bray Wyatt character from his time in WWE has now come to light.

During his time in WWE, Bray Wyatt became known as one of the most creative performers in the company. This led to the creation of his cult leader style character as the head of the Wyatt Family and latterly ‘The Fiend’ who Wyatt became in 2019.

While performing as ‘The Fiend,’ Wyatt hosted the ‘Firefly Funhouse.’ In the segments, Bray Wyatt would host a surreal version of a kids television show alongside a series puppets. The recurring characters included Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch and Huskus the Pig Boy.

Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse match against John Cena at WrestleMania 36 also featured the bizarre sight of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in puppet form.

Posting on Twitter, renowned tattoo artist Kyle A. Scarborough has revealed that WWE wanted to bring the characters to life. However, Wyatt only wanted to go along with the plans if he could play the characters himself. Scarborough has now shared the concept art for one of these characters.

It has also recently been revealed that WWE planned for Alexa Bliss to wear a mask during her time performing alongside Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt was released by WWE on July 31st having not been seen on television for a number of months. At the time it suggested that Wyatt’s release was due to budget cuts, but a new report has claimed that there were many other factors at play.

Wyatt was reportedly outspoken about what he perceived as “bad creative” and this led to Vince McMahon simply not liking him. It was also noted that many within WWE are concerned over their job security as a result and expressed sympathy with Wyatt and Orton over their match at WrestleMania 37 being changed.
