Cody Rhodes Would Love To See Legendary UFC Fighter In WWE

Cody Rhodes hopes to see a notorious UFC fighter make an appearance in the pro wrestling world at some point.

MMA fighters making the transition into the professional wrestling world is nothing new with the likes of Ken Shamrock, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler all winning championships after leaving The Octagon behind, Along with their legitimate background in fighting, the fighters have also let their personalities shine through in the squared circle, making them even more popular as a result.

Although the majority of the fighters have been respectful of the business when trying their hands at pro wrestling, Rhodes’s choice is someone who has shown a different attitude to the sport, and his opponents in general.

Speaking with The Schmo, Rhodes explained why he wants to see Conor McGregor show up in the promotion:

“One I’d love to see dip his toes into the water with WWE would be Conor (McGregor). Just to dip his toes. The competition environment at WWE, the competition is different than what you might think. It’s so much about who has the most dscipline, who is the most professional, getting there to the finish line, getting there to a WrestleMania. I feel like someone who has competed at the highest level like he has and so many amazing fights, it’s time to maybe dip into the more entertainment side of sports entertainment. I think he’d be great at it, I do,”

Cody Rhodes Advocates For Future Hall Of Fame Induction

Following on from his legendary return at WrestleMania 40 and epic main event 2 years later, Rhodes is almost guaranteed to be inducted into the Hall of Fame when his time comes. When discussing the honour in the same interview, Cody Rhodes stated that he wants to see an “underrated” performer also recognised.
