Cody Rhodes may have had his hands full in a massive brawl on AEW Dynamite but after the show went off the air he and Tony Khan paid tribute to a fan who beat cancer.
On the most recent edition of AEW Dynamite, PAC faced FTR’s Dax Harwood in the show’s main event match. The Englishman came out on top, submitting Harwood but was immediately attacked by Harwood’s tag team partner Cash Wheeler.
The lights then went out and when they came back on things had gone from bad to worse for PAC as FTR were now joined in the ring by Malakai Black and Andrade El Idolo. The four men immediately began tearing into PAC before his Death Triangle teammates The Lucha Brothers came to make the save.
Cody Rhodes also made his way to the ring through the Indianapolis crowd and went straight after Malakai Black. Death Triangle and Rhodes soon cleared the ring and stood tall with the eight rivals set for two massive tag team bouts at Full Gear.
FTR recently defeated The Lucha Brothers for the AAA Tag Team Championship and will look to repeat the feat at Full Gear as they challenge for the AEW Tag Team Title. Cody Rhodes will team with his SummerSlam 2015 opponent PAC as they look to end their respective feuds with Black and El Idolo on November 13th.
AEW Dynamite ended with Hangman Adam Page being bloodied by his Full Gear opponent Kenny Omega with the two men set to face for the AEW World Title. However, after the show went off the air Cody Rhodes returned to the ring alongside AEW President Tony Khan to pay tribute to a local fan that recently saw off cancer.
After #AEWDynamite went off the air @CodyRhodes brought a fan in the ring that tweeted earlier that he just beat cancer! Much respect! Amazing moment!!@TonyKhan@CMPunk@realrubysoho@AEWpic.twitter.com/fAjDd4VyWY

Rhodes told the fan that he couldn’t leave the ring without getting a win after already winning his biggest battle and then The American Nightmare allowed the fan to pin him while Khan made the three-count.
