Following his triumphant return at WrestleMania 38, it has been confirmed that Cody Rhodes has signed a “multi-year” contract with WWE.
It had long been thought that Cody Rhodes would make his return to a WWE ring at WrestleMania 38, and the American Nightmare didn’t disappoint.
With Seth Rollins in the ring waiting to find out who his mystery opponent was Rhodes’ music hit and the former AEW star rose up from under the stage. The crowed roared their approval, realising they had just witnessed one of the biggest moments in recent wrestling history.
After the match, Rhodes team put out a press release giving a few more details on the American Nightmare’s new WWE deal. The release lauded Rhodes as the “most sought after free agent in professional wrestling” before confirming that he has signed a “multi-year deal” with WWE.
Furthermore, the former TNT Champion will also serve as the Executive Producer on an upcoming A&E “Biography: WWE Legends” documentary focusing on his father Dusty Rhodes.

When Rhodes match with Rollins finally got going, both men went all out in search of victory, each keenly aware of what a victory would mean. However, in the end it was Rhodes would scored a memorable victory after delivering three Cross-Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes began his wrestling career with WWE back in 2006, initially appearing in developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. After remaining in OVW for a little over a year, Rhodes made his main roster debut July 2007.
The second generation star remained with the company until May 22nd 2016, when he was released after asking to leave.
