Cody Rhodes Returns To WWE; Wants High-Profile Tag Match At Money In The Bank

Cody Rhodes Says Surprising WWE Star Hit Him Harder Than Travis Scott

Cody Rhodes has finally returned to WWE and has already made his intentions known.

In the final match of the night on the 24th May episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Jey Uso faced off against Logan Paul with his World Championship on the line. However, as the match neared its final moments, fans saw John Cena interfere and almost cost Uso his title.

Fortunately, for Jey Uso fans, The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes finally made his WWE return and saved Uso’s title. Taking out Cena and helping ‘Main-Event’ Jey Uso defend his championship, Rhodes then issued a very high-profile challenge.

In the final few seconds of the event, Cody Rhodes challenged John Cena and Logan Paul to a tag-team match at the Money In The Bank PLE against him and his partner, Jey Uso. Rhodes was last seen at WrestleMania 41, where he lost the championship to Cena.

Now back after almost a month, Rhodes is ready to take on Cena and face any challenges that lie ahead.

Jey Uso and John Cena had also shared a heated backstage moment earlier tonight, hinting at a Night of Champions match between the two. Uso is now also scheduled to face Gunther on the June 9th episode of Raw.

Matt Hardy Criticized WrestleMania 41 Match Between Cody Rhodes And John Cena

Criticising the end of the WrestleMania 41 main-event match between Cena and Rhodes on his podcast, ‘The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy’, Matt Hardy said,

“The match, when I watched it back, especially the match they had between one another. You had Cody kick out of multiple [Attitude Adjustments], right? He escaped the STFU a couple of times. I thought, especially for what I expected for John, John being older, I still thought he had a real solid match for a main event when it was all said and done. The biggest critique I have was that finish and protecting Cody and the way it was done. I would have loved to seen Rock there, I felt like The Rock being there would have made sense, it would have kind of tied everything together that was part of the story.”
