Cody Rhodes was recently presented with a wholesome and nostalgic gift by WWE.
Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 to win the title and fulfill his father’s unfinished story. Now touring Japan, he was gifted an extremely nostalgic memorabilia.
During the live show in Tokyo, Cody Rhodes was gifted his father’s legendary red and silver robe. The gesture left the former Bullet Club leader visibly moved as he finished off the segment with a kiss toward the Japanese fans.
On the second night of the tour, The American Nightmare defeated AJ Styles and was later presented with the robe. Dusty Rhodes’ iconic robe was previously displayed at the public ‘Super Inoki Exhibition‘ celebrating the career of Antonio Inoki.
Within a few months of finishing the story, Rhodes reunited with very close and sentimental possessions, his father’s watch and now the robe.
