Cody Rhodes has named his Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling and listed AEW President Tony Khan as one of his four picks.
Rhodes recently took part in a Bleacher Report Ask Me Anything to promote his and wife Brandi’s upcoming reality series, Rhodes To The Top which will air on TNT.
During the AMA, the first-ever TNT Champion was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling. Without explaining his choices, Rhodes listed his four picks as Vince McMahon, Dusty Rhodes, The Rock, and Ton Khan.
Vince McMahon is perhaps the most influential man in wrestling history presiding over unparalleled success with WWE. Dusty Rhodes is of course Cody’s father and was a mainstay of the NWA throughout the eighties where he also acted as a booker at different times as well as holding the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship on several occasions.
The Rock has turned his incredible success in the wrestling world into a career that saw him become the world’s highest-paid actor. A star of The Fast And The Furious franchise, Dwayne Johnson has also recently starred in Jungle Cruise alongside Emily Blunt. The Rock is also now part-owner of the XFL after he and business partner Dany Garcia were part of a consortium that took over the defunct league.
Tony Khan has only been a part of the professional wrestling business as the man behind All Elite Wrestling since 2019 but Khan is a lifelong fan.
Brandi Rhodes, Chief Brand Officer for AEW also gave her Mount Rushmore and gave a female perspective on professional wrestling as she named Sherri Martel, Miss Elizabeth, Madusa, and Mae Young as her picks.
Cody Rhodes has his own mountain to ascend as he faces off with Malakai Black at AEW Grand Slam, taking place at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
