Cody Rhodes has been unbelievably generous with his latest gift to a WWE fan.
The American Nightmare has frequently taken time to meet fans at live events and has done all he can to make sure that their experience is a memorable one. However, his latest gesture is going to take some beating.
KIPP AMP Middle School In Brooklyn is the home of The Wrestling Club, a group created by Victor Taylor Perry where students watch professional wrestling and share their enjoyment of wrestling as a community. In November 2023, Perry started a fundraiser to get the club to WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia.
A member group asked for help from the community to get him to Mania by either purchasing popcorn or making a donation. Rhodes, who was alerted to the fundraiser, made sure that The Wrestling Club member would be going to WrestleMania as he would cover the costs of tickets and hotels, making the announcement on social media:
I could buy a bunch of popcorn or I could just tell ya’ I’ve got your tickets and hotels You’re going to Wrestlemania 40!
Perry, who was stunned and thankful for the wholesome gesture, will be very much looking forward to telling the students the news:
You’re the absolute GREATEST. I can’t thank you enough my friend. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to tell TWC.
Many from the wrestling world have been extremely complimentary of Perry’s work with The Wrestling Club over the years, as older wrestling fans would have loved a club like this when they were at school.
In an extremely heartwarming update, Perry filmed the moment when some of the club realised that they would be making the trip to Philadelphia in April, which is something that they will definitely want to talk about!
