Cody Rhodes has hyped up the upcoming WWE RAW debut on Netflix.
WWE is set to begin its $5 billion Netflix partnership in January 2025. The deal is set to be 10 years long with an option to extend an additional 10 years or opt out after the first five years.
The Monday Night show is also set to undergo an hour cut starting from later this month. However, before the hour cut, Cody Rhodes in an interview with Pat McAfee hyped up the show’s Netflix jump.
I think the locker room is through the roof morale-wise in terms of going to Netflix. We all have it. We all watch Netflix and love it. But the idea of the streaming era, truthfully WWE in the past was actually always a little bit ahead of the curve in terms of banking content. First it was 24/7 On Demand, then it was the Network, now it’s Peacock. But Netflix is going to be huge for us. When I say expanding and I see where it’s going I think certain individuals in the locker room, some of the champions, some of the top guys and girls in the locker room know this as well.
We are going up in terms of our public spotlight I suppose. College Football, NFL, those are the biggest things on the planet, they really are. We are moving up and trying to get in that air and if you know anything about what we are doing we are not that far off. Netflix is definitely a big part of that, it’s a huge deal for Netflix, it’s a huge deal for WWE. I’m just excited we get to ride this new wave.”
The American Nightmare stated that the promotion will be expanding, and the streaming giant has a huge role to play in it.
Cody Rhodes Opens Up On His WWE WrestleMania Dream Opponent
In an interview on the Superstar Crossover podcast with Josh Martinez, Cody Rhodes opened up on his dream match. The current champion is not bothered about a dream opponent but wants it to occur as a WrestleMania main event.
My goal is to main event WrestleMania, and who I main event WrestleMania with is my dream match, and I do not have that answer. I do not know what that is. I might have an inkling. I might have a hint. I might have multiple hints. I might have different doors to open, but that, to me, is my dream match. I don’t mean to give a cop-out answer, but in this moment, when you’re holding the North Star of the business, every one is the one you want to be the dream match.”
Rhodes is scheduled to tag alongside Roman Reigns at Bad Blood and face Solo SIkoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag-team match.
