‘Hotlanta’ certainly lived up to its name during the Atlanta Street Fight between Cody Rhodes and Andrade El Idolo with Rhodes showing off his scars from the fiery encounter.
On AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes shared the main event with rival Andrade El Idolo as the bad blood between the stars continued to boil over. Competing in an Atlanta Street Fight, anything went with El Idolo’s assistant Jose even brandishing a Taser at one point.
The biggest shock was yet to come with Cody Rhodes having Andrade El Idolo prone on the top rope looking ready to suplex him through a table in the ring. At that point, a masked figure entered the squared circle before revealing herself to be Brandi Rhodes. Brandi emptied two tins of lighter fluid on the table before igniting it. Cody Rhodes then drove himself and Andrade through the flaming table to pick up the victory.
Although Rhodes claimed the win over Andrade it was clear to those who witnessed it that it was The American Nightmare who bore the brunt of the flaming table and new photos posted to AEW’s social media show just how bad the damage was to Rhodes’ back.

Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite Bryan Danielson continued to wage war against The Dark Order as he took on Alan Angels. It has now been confirmed that The American Dragon will get his AEW World Championship match against Hangman Adam Page at AEW Winter Is Coming.
