Cody Rhodes & Brock Lesnar Discussed For Brutal WWE Gimmick Match

Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes face off at WWE Night of Champions

Ever since failing to capture the WWE Championship from Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes has had a huge problem in the ferocious shape of Brock Lesnar.

On the April 3rd episode of Monday Night Raw, Lesnar brutally attacked Rhodes leaving him battered and broken. The resulting feud between the two has seen them assault one another on a regular basis before meeting in the ring.

Their first clash came in the main event of Backlash, which saw Rhodes expect a decent chunk of revenge on the Beast as he attacked him before the bell with a barrage of weapon-assisted violence. Toward the end of the match, a bloody Lesnar caught the American Nightmare in a kimura, but Rhodes was able to steal a shock pinfall victory.

The win enraged Lesnar who then called out Rhodes for a fight at Night of Champions. In the lead-up to their second outing, the former AEW man was once again subject to severe punishment at the hands of the Beast Incarnate. So violent was the attack it left Rhodes with a broken arm but he demanded the match take place.

Once in Saudi Arabia, the two squared up and after an intense back-and-forth battle, Rhodes passed out from the pain caused by Lesnars submission hold. Now the two warriors are one-a-piece it seems a third and final match is on the cards, and according to reports WWE has a special stipulation in mind.

Lesnar vs. Rhodes III will be one of the SummerSlam main events. There has been a lot of talk about adding a stipulation and one of the ideas is a bullrope match.
