Cody Rhodes and Bayley might work for different wrestling organisations but they agree that the future is golden for one AEW star.
The two-time TNT Champion Rhodes took to social media to tout Ricky Starks of Team Taz as a future champion in All Elite Wrestling. In agreement was the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley who simply replied “Same.”
“The Starkman will be champion one day – I’d bet it all on that”

According to a report from Voices of Wrestling, Starks is currently dealing with a fractured neck and will be out of action for around three months. Fightful followed up the report, adding that the injury is a “slight fracture.” While Starks will be unable to compete inside the ring, he is not expected to miss TV time and the injury doesn’t require surgery.
Starks was last in action on AEW Dynamite in a losing effort to Hangman Adam Page on April 21st. During the match, Starks landed heavily following a German Suplex, but later posted on Twitter that he was “fine.”
Ricky Starks debuted in AEW answering Cody Rhodes’ TNT Title open challenge on June 17th, 2020. While Starks tasted defeat on the night it was later revealed that he had signed with the company.
Starks later aligned with Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Taz under the name Team Taz. The former NWA Television Champion enjoyed his most high-profile outing to date, teaming with Cage to take on Sting and Darby Allin at AEW Revolution.
Cody Rhodes is set to announce his plans for Double Or Nothing in an upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite. Rhodes recently defeated former friend and ally QT Marshall before being decked by Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo.
Bayley will challenge WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair for her title at the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash event. Should she be successful it will be the ‘Role Models’ third reign as champion.
