Cody Rhodes initially signed with WWE back in 2006, where he appeared in Ohio Valley Wrestling, which the company used as a developmental territory at the time. The second generation made his debut on the main roster a year later. Appearing on Monday Night Raw, Rhodes began teaming with Hardcore Holly, and the pair eventually won the World Tag Team Titles.
Cody Rhodes went on to win the Intercontinental Championship twice and enjoy five more Tag Team Title reigns before leaving the company in 2106. At the time, Rhodes had been appearing as Stardust and became dissatisfied with his place on the card and creative direction of his character.
Upon leaving WWE, Rhodes went on something of a world tour, appearing in Ring of Honor, IMAPCT Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling before helping found AEW in January 2019.
Rhodes later became the first-ever TNT Champion, eventually holding the championship three times. However, by February 2022, Rhodes decided it was time for a change and along with his wife Brandi, the pair announced they had left the company.
Since returning to WWE, Rhodes has been open about his desire to win the WWE Championship, a title his illustrious father never managed to win.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that Rhodes will be back in action at WrestleMania Backlash in a huge rematch against Seth Rollins.
