AEW star CM Punk has seemingly called on the WWE locker room to stand up for their co-workers amid the fallout from Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of the company.
Sasha Banks and Naomi sent shockwaves through the wrestling world when they were reported to have walked out of the building during the live 16 May Monday Night Raw broadcast. At the time, no one knew why, exactly, they’d done so.
It appears that a Vince McMahon booking decision was the catalyst that sent Banks and Naomi out of Norfolk, Virginia’s Scope Arena. The WWE boss insisted they follow his creative direction for the company while rejecting their desire to defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Other reports have stated that few fellow WWE Superstars have shown any sympathy in regards to Sasha Banks, apparently being labelled a “mark” and a “diva” by unnamed sources.
Now a man who is no stranger to walking out of WWE has commented with CM Punk taking to social media, seemingly urging WWE Superstars to take a stand with Sasha Banks and Naomi, whatever their personal feelings regarding the situation are:
“Doesn’t matter if your opinion of your coworker is positive or negative. Stand with them. Because they’ll do the same thing to you and you’ll wish someone helped. Trust me. You’re expendable. Together you’re unstoppable.”
CM Punk will have his hands full when he challenges Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas, Nevada.
