CM Punk had another lovely picture with AJ Lee, but this time, there’s a massive twist.

Lee’s return to the WWE came at the perfect time as her husband was not only combating World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch but was also reeling from the loss of the World Heavyweight Title. The couple stood tall last week on SmackDown after Lee slapped The Man and took her title. This week on RAW, Lee appeared on Monday Nights after a decade and addressed the crowd in Milwaukee by talking about people who are dealing with mental health issues. She also tackled her own mental health concerns and how she worked her way back to the ring.

Lynch eventually interrupted Lee and let her know that she wanted the Women’s Intercontinental Championship back. Seth Rollins joined her wife in the ring and intimidated the former Divas Champion before CM Punk saved her to one-up the heelish duo once again, this time on RAW.

Later in the night, CM Punk uploaded a picture with both AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, adding text to the pic, as “AJ Lee.” The obvious connotations here are self-explanatory, as Punk allied himself with Styles and his newfound tag team partner in an obvious reference to his wife, who returned to WWE.

Earlier in the night, Styles took on El Grande Americano, who cost him the Intercontinental Championship last week against Dominik Mysterio, beating him with a Styles Clash. Dragon Lee was the difference maker as he provided a distraction for Americano, who has been his heated rival of late.

CM Punk and AJ Lee Will Be at WrestlePalooza

Following CM Punk and AJ Lee outsmarting Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins this week on RAW, a mixed tag team match has been made official between the two power couples.

It will happen on WrestlePalooza on September 20th in Indianapolis, Indiana, as WWE is set to debut their PLEs on ESPN in the United States. The upcoming match is also Lee’s first official match in 3827 days.

The upcoming PLE keeps getting stacked as John Cena and Brock Lesnar are set to do battle for one last time. Iyo Sky and Stephanie Vaquer will gun for the Women’s World Championship while The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) will go toe-to-toe against The Vision’s Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.
