CM Punk Teases Wrestling Return

CM Punk - AEW

CM Punk hasn’t wrestled since September 4th, 2022, but that could be about to change.

On that occasion, the star overcame Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship for a second time. However, his actions after the show threw his career into doubt. Punk launched into a remarkable tirade at the post-show media scrum, going after the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Adam Page.

Although this served as just a warm-up for the brawl that subsequently erupted backstage involving Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite. Suspensions were handed down to all involved as an investigation was launched, but Punk was already set for a spell out of the ring after sustaining a triceps injury during his match that required surgery.

Fast-forward to March 2023, and Punk has shared a clip of himself on his Instagram Stories training in the gym along with the song “Honor Never Dies” by Hatebreed. This has led some to believe that he is preparing to return to wrestling as part of Ring of Honor.

While a move to Ring of Honor might appear unlikely, the clip could still be significant with Punk seemingly toying with fans over his next move.

CM Punk “Not Far” From Return

It was recently reported that CM Punk could soon be available to return to the ring if AEW President Tony Khan decides to use him. The report noted that this could prove to be a major issue for Khan given some people within the locker room don’t want Punk back involved.
