CM Punk has recently teased a match with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
During the latest Fanatics Fest in New York, the former champion teased the fans present there with a potential match against the Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin has been retired for several years now, except for his surprising return at WrestleMania 38 in a match against Kevin Owens.
While speaking on the Masked Man Show at the Fanatics Fest, CM Punk declared that he is always open for a match against The Texas Rattlesnake. The two had shared the stage back in 2011, and fans have been interested in watching a bout between the two since then.
That would be up to Steven. It’s not up to me. I think he had a pretty good return — came back, main event-ed WrestleMania. At this point, his six shooters might be buried in the Nevada desert. But, if he wants to dig ‘em up — I’m your huckleberry. It should’ve happened ten-plus years ago, but if he wants to Go To Sleep, he can call me.”
The former Champion had previously teased one more match and wanted CM Punk as his opponent. With both men open for a fight against each other, fans wonder if the dream match might ever take place or not.

CM Punk Addresses The Current Changes In The WWE Locker Room
In the same interview at the Fanatics Fest, CM Punk addressed the current changes that have taken place in the WWE locker room. The former World Champion shared how the management is much more understanding than before.
What I think is now in place is a system and management that understands (burnout). The talent, again, is so rich that if Cody needs a show off, he can take that day off. If I need a day off, I can take that day off. I’m still flabbergasted there’s a tab on the WWE app that you can click and you can request days off. Brother, it still blows my mind. It’s a brave new world.”
Punk left the Stamford-based promotion on a sour note in 2014, however, returned to a much grander stage last year at Survivor Series. With a vivid management change, he is left in awe of the new system.
