CM Punk Teases Major WWE Return At Royal Rumble

CM Punk may have hinted at a huge name making a comeback at the WWE Royal Rumble.

More than one year on from his shock return at Survivor Series, Punk is once again looking to win the Royal Rumble and main event WrestleMania. With the former World Champion suffering a torn tricep in the match last year, Punk will be hoping that lightning will not strike twice.

While many fans are happy to see Punk back in a WWE ring, a scenario that seemed to be impossible just a few years ago, many are hoping that this may open the door for former Women’s Champion and Punk’s wife AJ Lee to also make a comeback after a decade away.

As seen in a video on social media, Jackie Redmond asked multiple members of the roster who they hope to see show up in the Women’s Royal Rumble. When Punk was asked the question, he noted that there was “a big one” that he would not elaborate further on:

“Oooh! There’s a big one that I’m not going to say, because I’m going to get in trouble.”

Following Punk’s tease, the comments of the post are flooded with references to AJ Lee, who last competed on the March 30th 2015 episode of Raw.

Former Rival “Apologises” To CM Punk

Although Punk was injured for months following the Royal Rumble, the Chicago native remained present on TV and continually crossed paths with Drew McIntyre, leading to the feud of the year between the former World Champions. During a recent appearance, Drew McIntyre was asked to apologise to CM Punk, to which The Scottish Warrior agreed to, sort of.

In other news, NXT surprises in the WWE Royal Rumble may have been leaked.

In a new interview, CM Punk has explained why he is on the John Cena path.
