CM Punk will return to his indie roots as he is set to appear at Game Changer Wrestling’s inaugural Hall of Fame ceremony.
The current AEW star will be part of proceedings as he inducts Dave Prazak into the GCW Hall Of Fame on the 22nd of January. Prazak has worked as a manager and announcer but perhaps his biggest contribution to independent wrestling is as one of the founders of SHIMMER Women’s Athletes along with Allison Danger.
As well as Dave Prazak, other inductees into the Hall Of Fame will be former ECW World Champion Jerry Lynn who will be inducted by former WWF European Champion Sean Waltman. Former Ring Of Honor World Champion Homicide will also be inducted by Chris Dickinson. Homicide made an appearance for AEW in September as he saved Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley from a beating at the hands of Suzuki-gun.
CZW standout and former ROH star Ruckus will be inducted by former IMPACT X-Division Champion Sonjay Dutt, with 25-year veteran LuFisto, and the late Tracy Smothers also due to be inducted into the Indie Hall Of Fame.
CM Punk is currently embroiled in an ongoing feud with three-time Dynamite Diamond winner MJF on AEW television. Punk cost MJF a bout against Captain Shawn Dean as he seeks to entice MJF into a one-on-one bout with him.
The GCW Indie Hall Of Fame takes place the night before GCW presents their sell-out show The WRLD on GCW at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York which will air on FITE TV.
