A big match has been possibly set for CM Punk.

Participating in The Bloodline Civil War at Survivor Series WarGames, CM Punk is possibly done with that drama. On the Raw, following WarGames, Punk, and Seth Rollins got into a confrontation and shared blows against each other.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins are rumored to main-event Raw’s Netflix debut on January 6th, 2024. However, before the big match next month, WWE has possibly set another bout for The Second City Saint.

As per a recent report from Dr. Chris Featherstone on X (Twitter), Punk is set to face Gunther in a cage match on the upcoming Holiday Tour. Featherstone had previously reported a big cage match for The Ring General. While fans started guessing the opponent, he later revealed it to be Punk.

Nope, it’ll be against Punk in “Chicago” as a part of the Holiday Tour in a couple of weeks. Could it be a tease for an upcoming feud? Perhaps, but we’ll have to wait and see after the Netflix debut where Punk goes.”

The Stamford-based promotion is set to begin its Holiday Tour on 27th December and will be at the Allstate Arena in Chicago on 29th December. Here, the two stalwarts are rumored to go against each other.

The Imperium leader recently retained his World Championship against Finn Balor and Damian Priest on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Former Intercontinental Champion Dismisses CM Punk’s Infamous Reputation

In an interview Monte & The Pharaoh, former Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel claimed CM Punk had always helped him, and heaped praises on his confidence levels. Dismissing all claims of Punk’s bad reputation, Axel shared:

He does get a bad rap. He helped me out a lot. I’m friends with him. We’ve been boys. We’ve had battles, bad battles, all over the world. He’s been nothing but a help for me. I know where people can say he has a bad reputation because of his attitude, but you kind of have to have that with this industry.

You have to have that ‘don’t give a hell about whatever’ and you just go and do you. If you don’t have self-confidence and ‘I’m better than you,’ then you’re going to fail. Punk has always had that. I have nothing but respect for him. He’s helped me. I would love to fight him again. We’ve had some battles. We’re both Heyman guys.”

Punk and Axel are both former Paul Heyman guys and share a long history from their New Nexus days.
