CM Punk was reportedly held by security after his match at AEW All In before being escorted out of the building following his physical altercation with Jack Perry.
On the August 28th episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio podcast, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez shed light on an incident involving CM Punk and Jack Perry prior to his match at AEW All In. According to Alvarez, Punk was reportedly held by security in his dressing after he returned backstage from his match. Alvarez said:
He ends up doing the match with Samoa Joe, he ends up winning the match and he goes to the backstage area and immediately there is security there and security escorts CM Punk back to his dressing room, Jack Perry was then told to leave he was removed from the building and CM Punk stayed in his dressing room with security for I’m not sure how long but eventually security came and removed him from the building.
The details surrounding the altercation remain somewhat murky. However, it was reported that it was in retaliation to a comment Perry made during his match with Hook after a spot involving glass. Perry said directly to the camera “Real glass, cry me a river.” The incident took place shortly before Punk’s highly anticipated match at the prestigious AEW event.
