CM Punk Responds To Triple H’s Tweet Regarding Mickie James

CM Punk has responded to Triple H’s tweet concerning Mickie James’ care package delivered in a bin bag, with a comically apt gif.

Mickie James recently posted a picture on Twitter showing her belongings returned to her in a black refuse sack, following her WWE release the week following WrestleMania 37. Shortly after Triple H, who is Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development for WWE, tweeted this apologetic statement regarding the incident:

Upon learning of the disrespectful treatment some of our recently released talent received on behalf of the company, we took immediate action. The person responsible for this inconsiderate action has been fired and is no longer with @WWE

CM Punk would then retweet the statement, alongside this gif. Notably, the gif can be found by typing “If you say so” into the search bar:

Infamously, CM Punk also had a less than favourable exit from the company. Upon walking out prior to a taping of Raw in January 2014, Punk would later claim he was officially fired from the company on the same day as his marriage to former WWE Superstar, AJ Lee. Since WWE exit, CM Punk has been openly critical of the company on several occasions. Despite this, online rumours often circulate regarding a return to a WWE ring for the ‘Best in the World’.

Mickie James first rose to prominence in WWE as a Trish Stratus super fan. A feud would ensue that would lead to a match at WrestleMania 22, where James would defeat Stratus for the WWE Woman’s Championship. James would be released by the company in 2010 but returned in 2016, initially performing on NXT before moving to Smackdown Live. Her Hall of Fame worthy career has cemented her legacy as one of the most recognisable and trail blazing female performers in recent times.

Although WWE have yet to officially release information regarding the person responsible, multiple online sources suggest that head of Talent Relation Mark Carrano was the person behind the delivery, and has since been fired from the company. Since the picture was shared Jillian Hall, Maria Kanellis and Gail Kim have all claimed to have received the same treatment following their release.
