CM Punk has commented on Dax Harwood’s wish for an AEW return.
The first episode of the FTR with Dax Harwood podcast was made available to Ad Free Show listeners on December 27th, with Punk being the topic of conversation.
CM Punk Has Not Been Seen In AEW Since All Out
At the end of the debut episode, Harwood was asked whether or not a return to AEW for CM Punk is likely to take place. The former AEW Tag Team Champion would state that he hopes that Punk and The Elite can sort out their differences and put the events of All Out behind them:
“This is my plea to all four guys. Please find a way to make it work. If we can make it work, we can set up the future of professional wrestling for a long time and we can change the course of professional wrestling for a very long time. When you think about it, unselfishly, we’re doing this for 20-30 years down the road so guys and girls can make a living,”
The story of the plea was posted onto the Instagram page of The Pro Wrestling Podcast. Punk would post a public comment on the social media post, simply writing “duh” in response to the story.
CM Punk won the AEW World Championship at All Out, defeating Jon Moxley to capture the title in the main event. In the same episode of the podcast focusing on Punk, Dax Harwood would go on to say that while Punk was the champion at the end of the show, gold was not something that was on the mind of the former 2 time champion in All Elite Wrestling.
Following the now infamous events that took place after the All Out pay-per-view, now known as Brawl Out, Punk would call Harwood to describe the events that took place.
