CM Punk Seemingly Removed From AEW Fight Forever Cover, New Gameplay Trailer Releases

CM Punk

A new trailer has been released from PlayStation for AEW’s very first video game, AEW Fight Forever.

Featured in the trailer are review snippets for the game from numerous companies, including IGN and Famistu. Orange Cassidy’s in-game character is shown, as well as new AEW World Champion MJF’s. Also included is Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, Thunder Rosa and other stars. Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, “Hangman” Adam Page and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. are also shown in the trailer with their real selves appearing. With Moxley and Page, they talked about the game’s career modes and create-a-wrestler abilities.

AEW Appears To Have Removed CM Punk From Their Game Cover

At the end of the trailer, a new cover for the video game was seemingly revealed, and what quickly caught a lot of people’s attention was the fact that CM Punk was no longer featured. Prior to the trailer, Punk was the centerpiece of the AEW Fight Forever cover, however, that appears to no longer be the case. CM Punk hasn’t been seen on All Elite Wrestling (AEW) programming since his AEW All Out media scrum comments that led to a backstage brawl against The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks — Nick and Matt Jackson)

As of right now, there’s currently no official release date for AEW Fight Forever.

For CM Punk, he hasn’t been featured on AEW TV since being suspended by the company back in early September after their All Out pay-per-view, though he would make a recent appearance outside of professional wrestling doing MMA commentary.

After taking out Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship, Punk would make comments about The Elite and Colt Cabana, which led to The Elite kicking open Punk’s locker room door and a backstage brawl taking place. All parties involved landed suspensions, Punk and The Elite had their titles tripped, Punk’s trainer Ace Steel got fired, Punk’s dog Larry got hurt and one of the Young Bucks reportedly got knocked out.
