CM Punk Refuses To Answer Roman Reigns Question At WWE Survivor Series Press Conference

Roman Reigns and CM Punk in WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series

CM Punk is not interested in answering questions about Roman Reigns.

At Survivor Series: WarGames, CM Punk became the fifth member of The OG Bloodline for one night only. Paul Heyman was the mastermind behind the plan to defeat Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline, and it more than paid off for Roman Reigns.

The match did see tension between The Tribal Chief and the Second City Saint, with Reigns holding Punk back from entering the match earlier than he wanted to, and later accidentally hitting him with a Spear.

Despite the teases, Punk continued to be a team player, rescuing Reigns from Bronson Reed when Sikoa’s latest recruit leapt from the top of the cage in an attempt to Tsunami the former Undisputed WWE Champion through a table.

After the OG Bloodline systematically took out their opponents, only Solo Sikoa was left. He attempted to hit Reigns with a Samoan Spike but was met with multiple Superkicks from The Usos, followed by a Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn, then a GTS from Punk, and finally a Spear from Reigns for the win.

As the The OG Bloodline celebrated their victory, Punk and Reigns shook hands, but it looks there are still tensions between the pair.

CM Punk Refuses To Comment On Roman Reigns’ WWE Success

Punk was a key part of Roman Reigns’ story in WWE. The star debuted as part of The Shield in 2012 when Paul Heyman hired the group to protect his then-client. When Punk infamously walked out on WWE in 2014, he made disparaging remarks about Reigns, saying that the goal of everything at the time was to make Reigns “look strong.”

During Punk’s time away, Reigns has become one of the biggest stars in the company and is now firmly a fan-favourite despite a rocky start to his singles career. When asked about Reigns’ rise in his absence at the Survivor Series press conference, Punk simply said “no comment,” implying there is unfinished business between the two.

Elsewhere in the press conference, Triple H revealed that the Survivor Series is the latest WWE event to break the company’s records.

Although the long-term future of Roman Reigns and CM Punk remains a mystery, both proved to be huge draws at Survivor Series.
