CM Punk has discussed his recent meeting with Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura.
Although history has shown that anyone can come back to WWE regardless of how they left, at one point in time many assumed that Punk and Ventura were two names that appeared to be done with the company forever. However, while Punk made his own return at Survivor Series, Jesse Ventura also made a surprise return to the company as he was backstage at a Raw taping in Minnesota on July 29th.
Acknowledging his time way, the Hall of Famer posted a photo of himself with Punk in the arena on social media and stated that those kind of moments were what made him want to come back.

Appearing on the SI Media podcast with Jimmy Traina, Punk discussed his recent meeting with the former Minnesota Governor and how his own return played a factor in the events that unfolded:
“I saw Governor Ventura the other day. Absolutely 100 percent blown away. One of the coolest things that’s ever happened to me in my life is he tells me that he saw I came back — and he said, ‘The place must have changed. If Punk’s back, I’ll go back.’ I can’t take credit for it, but I think a guy like me being back I think speaks volumes. Obviously it does.”
CM Punk Addresses Major AEW Headline
Two days after Ventura made his return to the company, even more shocking news broke as it was revealed that AEW President Tony Khan and Shane McMahon recently held a secret meeting. Given his previous history in the company, CM Punk was asked to comment on the McMahon and Khan meeting.
