WWE appear to have quietly pulled CM Punk from some of its TV tapings in Europe.
A few weeks ago, WWE UK announced CM Punk’s return to the UK. The Second City Saint was confirmed to appear on the March 24th Raw in Glasgow and the following week’s Raw in London on March 31st.
However, it seems plans have now changed. The tweet that announced the news has since been deleted and a recent post on the WWE UK Instagram promoting Punk for the upcoming European tour does not list either show. Punk is also absent from the event pages for the Glasgow and London tapings on WWE’s website.
Instead, Punk is now being advertised for the March 17th Raw in Brussels, Belgium; the March 21st SmackDown in Bologna, Italy; and the March 28th SmackDown in London.
While fans in Scotland will seemingly miss out on seeing Punk this time around, a huge star appears to be replacing him. Despite belonging to SmackDown, Cody Rhodes is now being advertised for the Glasgow and London Raws on WWE’s website – on top of John Cena’s highly-anticipated appearance at both events.
