CM Punk Opens Up For The First Time Since AJ Lee’s WWE Return

CM Punk and AJ Lee AJ Mendez

AJ Lee and CM Punk have reunited on WWE television.

After a span of almost 10 years, former Divas Champion, AJ Mendez, aka, AJ Lee, returned on the latest September 5th episode of SmackDown.

Appearing as Punk’s savior against Becky Lynch, fans across the globe saw Lee brutally ambush Lynch, before snatching her title and holding onto it. Soon after, The Second City Saint broke his silence on the matter and addressed the return on his Instagram stories. Sharing a picture of her return, Punk wrote,

April. Fu***ng. Mendez. And yes, I’m checking out her ass”

Lee and Punk are now expected to begin a program against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, with the four set to collide at WrestlePalooza.

Former WWE Star Calls CM Punk A “Creep”

A few days ago during an interview on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, former World Wrestling Entertainment star Matt Riddle went all out on his feelings for Punk. Calling the former champion a “creep”, he said,

“I have no ill will towards CM Punk. I bet he’s a nice enough guy if you agree with him. But I don’t, you know. I think he’s fake and I think he’s a creep – and that’s coming from me, and people think I’m a creep. I feel like he’s just lingering around the NXT locker room a little too much.”

A few days ago, another ex-world champion and one of Punk’s arch-nemesis Drew McIntyre had opened up on his confusion about why Bret Hart loves Punk so much.

“CM Punk, I don’t know how Bret [Hart] loves him so much, he’s like the opposite of the Excellence of Execution. His moves are executed terribly, but he believes everything he says and people buy his c**p. Good for him, I guess.”
