CM Punk Jokes About AEW All Out Brawl – “You Don’t Want Me In The Locker Room”

CM Punk holding his ears

CM Punk has been absent from AEW since September 4th and All Out. After defeating Jon Moxley in the main event of the show to claim the AEW World Championship, Punk decided that he needed to get some things off his chest.

Sitting down at the post-show media scrum, Punk famously launched a tirade aimed at Colt Cabana, the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page. This led to a brawl backstage involving Punk, Ace Steel and The Elite. Following the incident, all involved were suspended, stripped of their respective titles and an investigation was launched.

CM Punk – “I’m Bad News”

While The Elite are set to return to action at AEW Full Gear for the first time since the incident in September, CM Punk remains absent. At least in part to a triceps injury which required surgery. However, it has been reported that the star isn’t expected back in the company at all, and is negotiating a buyout of his deal. Although he remains under contract.

Punk joined the commentary team for Cage Fury Fighting Championships on November 18th and seemed in good spirits as he joked about the AEW drama. The broadcast team jokingly suggested that Punk should sign with the company for ‘Fury Pro Wrestling’ in 2023. In response, Punk quipped:

“I’m bad news, you don’t want me in the locker room [laughs],”

John Morgan, who was calling the action alongside Punk continued the fun commenting:

“That dude will mess up the whole organization. What are you doing? I like working here man. [laughs] Don’t let him do any press conferences.”

In a recent update it was noted that CM Punk is recovering well from surgery on his torn triceps, however Colt Cabana’s recent appearance on Dynamite had harmed the relationship between the star and AEW further. The two-time AEW World Champion remains adamant that he had nothing to do with Cabana being shunted off AEW television.
