Former WWE Champion, CM Punk, has dropped his opinion on Edge winning the 2021 Royal Rumble Match for a second time in the legend’s career.
On January 31, ‘The Rated-R Superstar’ entered the 30-Man Royal Rumble affray first and lasted close to an hour in order to book his spot at WrestleMania 37 against a champion of his choosing. During that time, Edge mange to rack up the eliminations of Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins and finally arch rival, Randy Orton.
Now, CM Punk has weighed in on the victory of Edge which has had some fans up-in-arms thanks to the age and roster status of the star during a Q&A on his Twitter feed. When asked what his feelings were on the result, Punk responded:
“Super stoked for him to get a second act. And jealous of his abs.”

In the week following his victory, Edge made a trip to three of WWE’s four main brands – he never made it to NXT UK but did tease challenging WALTER on Instagram – in order to confront their respective champions and help to advance ongoing feuds.
On Raw, the former tag team specialist was the catalyst for Sheamus to turn heel on WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre, on Friday Night SmackDown he facilitated a sneak attack of WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns by Kevin Owens and on NXT, Edge brought together NXT Champion Finn Balor and Pete Dunne stating that he will be watching the winner of their championship bout at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
