CM Punk Has “Veto Power” Over Those Involved In AEW Collision

CM Punk Has

CM Punk allegedly has the “veto power” over who is involved with AEW Collision.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has shed light on a controversial topic surrounding CM Punk and his alleged “veto power” over who can be present at AEW Collision events. According to Meltzer’s report, it has been speculated that Punk played a role in getting Christopher Daniels, the head of talent relations, barred from the event.

Collision was considered his show and evidently whether explicit or just in practice, when Daniels was no longer allowed to come, it was clear he had veto power over who could be there. The company had been generally careful not to book people who would upset him on that show and that was well known.

This revelation has sparked significant discussion within the wrestling community, as it raises concerns about the influence and control Punk may have backstage.

This alleged power to veto who can be backstage at Collision shows has led to instances where wrestlers, including Adam Page, Matt Hardy, and Daniels, have been sent home from events.

In recent news, Matt Hardy’s wife, Reby Hard, has branded CM Punk an “idiot.”

Has CM Punk Had Any Recent Issues With AEW Wrestlers?

Recently CM Punk cut a scathing promo on Adam Page after the August 12th episode of Collision went off the air. Punk labelled Page a “peg warmer” in a jab at Page’s ability to sell merchandise.

It was reported that CM Punk had made these comments in an attempt at comedy and has since apologised to Page via a text message.

In recent news, Dave Meltzer reported that CM Punk and Tony Khan were working closely prior to Punk’s firing.
