On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan revealed that the main event of the inaugural Collision will see CM Punk return to action.
The bout will see him teaming up with FTR to take on ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold’s Juice Robinson and Jay White.
White is still a relative newcomer to the company, having signed with the promotion in April. Prior to becoming All Elite, the Switchblade was one of the top stars in NJPW, where he was the leader of Bullet Club and a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
White quickly reunited with former Bullet Club ally Robinson to form the new ‘Gold’ version of the iconic stable.
The pair have been embroiled in a rivalry with Ricky Starks in recent weeks, and on the June 7th Dynamite, White defeated the star with a little help from former Tag Team Champions, The Gunns.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Punk has been pitched to work with Bullet Club Gold in the past and is said to have “taken a liking” to White in particular.
Fightful also notes that the Collision main event might not be a one-off, with pitches having been made to have a feud involving Punk and the ‘Bang Bang Gang.’
When it comes to White himself, he is said to have been “very laid back” about his creative in the company so far.
Tony Khan has broken his silence on the return of CM Punk
With Punk’s return finally confirmed in recent weeks, Tony Khan has given his thoughts on the value the straight edge star brings to AEW.
According to Khan, Punk is “a big draw” for the company and is “very important” for both them and the fans.
