CM Punk Elaborates On In-Ring Clearance Following Involvement At WWE Money In The Bank

CM Punk attacks Drew McIntyre at WWE Money in the Bank

CM Punk has given an update on his health after his shock Money in the Bank appearance.

At Money in the Bank, CM Punk screwed over Drew McIntyre for the third time in recent months. McIntyre defeated five other men to become 2024’s Mr. Money in the Bank. Rather than utilise the one-year time limit for cashing in, the star used the contract to turn Priest’s defence against Seth Rollins into a Triple Threat bout. Unfortunately for McIntyre, though, CM Punk was in the building and launched an assault on the Scottish Warrior that left him easy pickings for Priest, who hit a South of Heaven Chokeslam for the pinfall victory.

With Punk getting physical yet again, fans began to wonder whether he has been cleared to return to the ring. Now the man himself has addressed his status.

“I Like To Keep People In Suspense” – CM Punk

When asked if he had been cleared at the post-Money in the Bank press conference, Punk didn’t quite answer the question, but explained that he does feel great and ready to go.

“I like to keep people in suspense. I will say I feel great and I’m ready to go, and there are things in place to protect me against myself that I maybe wish were in place ten years ago, but we don’t need to talk about the past.

“Great personnel, great facilities. I’m busting my ass to get back, if I can steal what John was talking about, for the fans. Whether you hate me or love me, I’m coming back to enjoy all these moments that were robbed from me when I got injured.

“S**t happens. It’s a contact sport. It stinks. I’ve been working very hard to rush the rehab and come back. Everyone behind me has supported it, but they’ve also been like, ‘We’re not in a hurry.’ I love that.”

When Punk does come back, it’s likely that Drew McIntyre will be at the front of the queue to get his hands on the Straight Edge Superstar.
