CM Punk is finally done with his feud against Drew McIntyre and announced his next challenge.
At Bash In Berlin, CM Punk defeated Drew McIntyre in a violent and bloodied strap match. Both the stalwarts put forward one of the most interesting and brutal matches in a long time and were heavily applauded by the German crowd.
Soon after the match, CM Punk opened up on his future plans to Cathy Kelly. The former World Champion claimed the strap match marked the end of his feud against McIntyre, as he now sets his eyes toward the World Championship.
Its definitely the end of me and Drew McIntyre. What’s next for is, I am gonna take a long hot shower. I’m going to try find some donuts and I got myself a main-event to watch cause I am very interested in the results. Gunther versus Randy Orton, and some people like to say, ‘may the best man win.’ But in this case, may the best man win cause the better man is coming for you. I want the gold. I am coming for you s***r.”
While the promo was recorded before the main event, The Second City Saint now has a challenge in front of him in Gunther. Punk last held the WWE World title over a decade ago, and fans wonder if Triple H can lean toward a feud between Punk and The Ring General.
As the main event concluded, Gunther displayed a show of respect toward Randy Orton, and celebrated in the ring, as the PLE concluded. On the upcoming episode of Raw, fans have to wait and see, if Gunther responds to Punk’s open challenge.
After the show, CM Punk explained the meaning of the bracelet he finally retrieved from Drew McIntyre in the Strap Match.
Kevin Owens Not In Talking Terms With CM Punk
In a recent interview with Mail Sport ahead of Bash In Berlin, Kevin Owens addressed his current relationship with CM Punk. The Prizefighter claimed they do not talk and are not friends with each other.
We (CM Punk & I) never talk. We have no reason to talk. We’re not friends. We’re not — we don’t — we’re just not… I don’t know. We have no reason to talk. If we work together, we will talk, but just not a thing we do.”
The former AEW star returned to WWE last year and shared a few backstage segments with Kevin Owens. However, both wrestlers are now on different brands and busy with their feuds.
