Former WWE Champion, CM Punk, has hit out at a fan who erroneously stated that the star had been diagnosed with COVID-19.
On January 22, ‘The Straight Edge Superstar’ sent out a tweet to inform his fans that he was currently in quarantine and would be taking questions from his supporters in order to pass the time. Along with a meme of a chimp and a news reporter, the star wrote:
“Quarantining. Day 1. So let’s do some Q&A. Use hashtag #askpunk let’s go!!!”

While his message was without context, failing to inform as to why he was in quarantine – as was his right – several members of the professional wrestling community took this to mean that the talent had been diagnosed as positive for COVID-19.
Assuming this was the case, one Twitter user posted a message which irked CM Punk, stating that he himself had the virus but took heart in the fact that he was suffering from it at the same time as the star.
Catching the eye of the former ECW Champion, the tweet was responded to in no uncertain terms when the man of the hour wrote:
“I do not have COVID. I’m quarantining as a mandatory safety guideline for a job.”

Currently, there are no indications as to what this project could be, however, since leaving the professional wrestling industry behind he has partook in several acting roles including Girl on the Third Floor and Rabid.
