CM Punk Comments On One Match He’s Very Proud Of

CM Punk Kicks Chavo Guerrero

CM Punk has revealed one match that he’s really proud of from his storied wrestling career, and it won’t be one too many people got to see.

Punk was asked by a fan to give one match that he was really proud of from his career. Punk replied:

“2/3 falls with @mexwarrior almost went 60 to give everyone else time to get to the building.”

The Twitter handle in question belongs to Chavo Guerrero Jr., who replied to Punk saying:

“We called it all in the ring. We were in the zone. Great chemistry”

CM Punk and Chavo Guerrero Jr. would have a series of matches in 2007 and 2008 mainly on the ECW brand. The match Punk is referring to appears to have taken place on the 15th of March 2008 at a SmackDown/ECW house show in Louisiana. The match was for Guerrero’s ECW Championship, which he successfully defended. CM Punk had lost that title to Guerrero 2 months previously on ECW television.

The duo had a famous ‘Gulf of Mexico’ match in February of 2008 in Guerrero’s home state of Texas. The match began in the ring but could only be won by throwing your opponent into the Gulf of Mexico. CM Punk would be victorious in that outing. He hit Guerrero with the Go To Sleep and then threw him in the water.

CM Punk then took more questions on social media, including giving a controversial response to what he thinks would have been the outcome of a match between himself and WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.
