CM Punk is heading to Australia for Elimination Chamber.
Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series back in November. Since then, the star has signed with the Raw brand and set his sights on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
Although he hasn’t been in action on live TV, Punk made his return to the ring at the post-Christmas WWE live event in Madison Square Garden, where he defeated The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio. He has also announced that he will be one of the 30 men vying for a spot in the WrestleMania 40 main event at the Royal Rumble.
Now, the Second City Saint’s plans for after the Royal Rumble have been revealed. In a world exclusive, Fox Sports announced that the star will be part of Elimination Camber when it comes to Perth, Australia on February 24th. While there’s currently no word on what his role will be, Fox speculates he could be part of the Elimination Chamber match itself.
The event will mark Punk’s first appearance in Australia since 2012, when he successfully defended the WWE Championship against Bryan Danielson during a Raw live event in Melbourne.
Why Does Seth Rollins Hate CM Punk?
Seth Rollins couldn’t hide his anger when Punk returned at Survivor Series, with fan footage capturing the star yelling and being held back when the Straight Edge Superstar walked down the aisle.
CM Punk recently gave his thoughts on why Rollins hates him so much, saying that the two have something of a sibling rivalry and on top of that, the World Heavyweight Champion harbours some jealousy at Punk for having accomplished more in his career.
