CM Punk is being advertised for the final WWE Raw before WrestleMania.
The Royal Rumble on January 27th saw CM Punk return to a WWE ring for the first time in over a decade. Entering at number 27, the star found himself face to face with Cody Rhodes as the final two participants in the bout. In the end, Rhodes was victorious, but this wasn’t the only reason Punk’s coveted WrestleMania main event is out of reach in 2024. Disaster struck in the match, and Punk suffered a torn triceps when he took a Future Shock DDT from Drew McIntyre.
A heartbroken Punk confirmed on Monday Night Raw that he’d torn his triceps and that WrestleMania was not in the cards for him this year. Prior to his injury, it was reported that plans were in place for Punk to face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Backstage, Punk told Cody to finish his story.
CM Punk underwent surgery shortly thereafter, and one week later, he appeared on the discussion panel for the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference.
When Will CM Punk Next Appear In WWE?
Now, WWE’s website is advertising that Punk will appear on the April 1st edition of Monday Night Raw emanating from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. This will serve as the final edition of Raw before WrestleMania 40 takes place in Philadelphia. There is no indication of what the star might be doing on the show.
Other names advertised for the taping are Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso, and Dominik Mysterio.
In recent news, CM Punk is set to make his return to WWE Raw.
