The latest edition of Celebrity Game Face featured a number of WWE Superstars taking part – but they were joined by former colleague and now-ROH World Champion, Claudio Castagnoli!
Hosted by Kevin Hart, the latest episode of E!’s Celebrity Game Face featured three teams of wrestling Superstars; five from WWE and one from AEW/ROH.
WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos, and The New Day’s Xavier Woods represented the McMahon-fronted WWE, while Claudio Castagnoli, the former Cesaro, joined them from the opposing side. He teamed with Woods for the episode.
These WWE superstars are competing for top team on tonight's #CelebrityGameFace! 🤩 Are you team @bellatwins, team @austincreedwins and @claudiocrso, or team Jimmy Uso and @naomiwwe? 👀 See you at 9/8c! 🎲🤣 pic.twitter.com/im8LfT7BB6

It’s particularly intriguing that WWE approved five members of their roster to appear on the series alongside an AEW talent. The series is pre-taped, though it’s unsure how far in advance, so perhaps this was recorded before ‘The Swiss Superman’ debuted at Forbidden Door.
As well as ‘The Swiss Superman’, Naomi is a surprising feature. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion walked out of the company alongside Sasha Banks and has been absent from the company ever since, being removed from the internal roster.
Claudio Castagnoli joined AEW as Zack Sabre Jr.’s mystery opponent for the AEW and NJPW co-promoted card. He’s already captured the ROH World Championship and had a show-stealing moment at Blood & Guts, Giant Swinging Chris Jericho atop the cage, in his short stint with the promotion thus far.
