There has been an update on Tessa Blanchard’s TNA status ahead of the star facing Jordynne Grace at Genesis.
Tessa Blanchard made her shock return to the company at Final Resolution and immediately set her sights on Jordynne Grace. It was the former Impact World Champion’s first appearance for the promotion since she left in 2020. The departure happened under controversial circumstances, with Blanchard unable to travel due to COVID-19 restrictions as well as failing to submit videos for promos.
Shortly after her comeback appearance, Blanchard claimed that she had not signed a TNA contract even though she was leaving CMLL behind to return to the company.
Now, Fightful Select has given an update on Blanchard’s status, with figures in TNA disputing that the star is not under contract. They claim that she has signed with the company and that she would not have been factored into their plans if this wasn’t the case. Fightful has not learned any specifics of Blanchard’s deal, or why she said she was not signed.
WWE Star Accuses Tessa Blanchard Of Being “Racist Bully”
Inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green has blasted fans for defending Blanchard. The star argued that Blanchard has never apologised since being accused of racism and bullying by multiple wrestlers, so she will not forgive her for her behaviour.
Green isn’t the only star unhappy with the former Knockouts Champion, as AEW star Deonna Purrazzo has made her feelings on a potential match against Blanchard clear.
Meanwhile, Booker T has taken a different tone, instead urging fans to move on from Blanchard’s past.
