For many wrestlers, life after the ring leads to a career in film or television, AEW’s Christian Cage has given his opinion on which wrestler-turned-actor has impressed him the most.

Cage joined All Elite Wrestling at their Revolution pay-per-view in March 2021. He made his in-ring debut for the company at the end of that match defeating old rival Frankie Kazarian. Since then Cage has been involved in a battle of wills with Taz and has defeated Powerhouse Hobbs on Dynamite.

Christian Cage is no stranger to film and television roles outside the confines of the squared circle. He has appeared in six feature films. His most recent film Cagefighter: Worlds Collide stars AEW colleague Jon Moxley. Cage also acted as an executive producer of the movie.

Speaking to ET Canada’s Shakiel Mahjouri, Christian Cage discussed which wrestling personality has impressed him most on the big screen.

Cage stated:

“I mean, they’re all talented in their own way, but I think Dave Bautista really brings something different to each one of his roles. Like his range is what’s impressed me more than anything. The range that he can bring to every single role and that he can. He has the ability to suck the audience in, almost know he can. He can talk. He can be believable in any role. But it’s not that the other guys aren’t. I don’t know. It’s hard to put a finger on it, but it’s something about just fine range is incredible. And that’s so impressive to me.”

Since winding down his wrestling career, the man better known to WWE fans as Batista has built a stellar movie career. He stars as Drax in a series of Marvel’s Avengers movies. Batista has also appeared in the much-celebrated role of a Bond villain opposite Daniel Craig in Spectre.

The man who once known as ‘The Animal’ has recently discussed his retirement from the ring. Batista has re-affirmed his position that nothing will entice him back to wrestling.
