After weeks of personal attacks, Christian Cage accepted Jungle Boy’s challenge for All Out!
Back in June, Christian Cage shocked the world by viciously attacking Jungle Boy following Jurassic Express losing the AEW Tag Team Championships to the Young Bucks. Not only did he attack the real life Jack Perry with a chair in the ring, he also launched an explicit verbal tirade at the young star’s mother and sister who were sitting at ringside, calling their family member a “piece of sh*t.”
Personal attacks continued the next week when Cage mocked Jungle Boy’s father, the late Luke Perry.
Luchasaurus was exempt from Cage’s attack, and at Blood and Guts, appeared to align with Christian during his teammate’s absence from television. On that occasion, Christian once again addressed his fallen foe, again brining up his dead father Luke Perry and saying he wished the rest of the family had followed suit – the whole family, that is, except for Jack Perry’s mother, who he wishes would call him.
Though Luchasaurus initially aligned himself with Cage and laid waste to anyone who got in the pair’s way, he reunited with Jungle Boy when the young star returned to the company on July 20th. The next week, Jack Perry had insults of his own for his former mentor, calling out Christian’s recent divorce.
Last week’s episode of Dynamite saw the two go head to head on the microphone once again, with Cage offering to reunite with his former protégé despite all his heinous actions. Jungle Boy didn’t accept, and instead challenged Cage to a match at AEW All Out. He would also slam Cage’s arm onto the steel steps.
This week, Christian sported an arm brace as he delivered a backstage interview, expressing how disappointed he was that Jungle Boy didn’t accept his offer of an olive branch. He said that even though he’s not 100%, he accepts Perry’s challenge and will defeat him at All Out.
Will Christian Cage accept Jungle Boy's challenge to settle their unfinished business one-on-one at #AEWAllOut Sun 9/4 LIVE on PPV?
