Chris Jericho To Meet Former ROH World Champion On AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho captured the ROH World Championship at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam when he defeated Claudio Castagnoli. The ‘Ocho’ has since followed that win up with successful defences against Bandido, Bryan Danielson and Dalton Castle.

Alongside his work in the ring, Jericho has vowed to destroy the legacy of Ring of Honor and everything that the promotion stood for. This has led the star to attack announcers, and on the October 18th edition of Dynamite he delivered a devastating Tombstone Piledriver on ROH legend Jerry Lynn.

Chris Jericho Set For Another Title Defence

On the October 26th episode of AEW Dynamite Jericho teamed with Daniel Garcia to take on Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. In the end it was Castagnoli who got the pin on Jericho, exacting some revenge for his defeat back in September.

Later on in the show an irate Chris Jericho laid down a challenge to any former Ring of Honor Champion, commenting that beating World Champion’s wasn’t enough. The match against the as yet unnamed opponent will take place on November 2nd.

Also on the show, Orange Cassidy will defend his All-Atlantic Championship against Rey Fenix and Luchasarurs. Cassidy won the title on October 12th and followed that up with a win over Rush and Preston Vance on Rampage.

On Dynamite Fenix was cutting a promo with Alex Abrahantes backstage where he hinted at wanting a title shot. This brought Luchasaurus and Christian Cage into the picture, who said that Luchasaurs should get a title shot. In the end Cassidy agreed to put the gold on the line against both men.

Meanwhile the rivalry between Jay Lethal and Darby Allin as the pair meet in singles action. Lethal has teased that an old friend who knows Allin’s secrets will be on hand for the clash. Dynamite will also feature a sit down interview between Saraya and Britt Baker hosted by Renee Paquette, and the gloriously titled “Daddy Ass Birthday Bash.”
